Google has agreed to delete the streetview data that it collected by accident. A while ago an error in some program or other meant that Google collected some data on private wireless networks. The data it collected was not broadcast, it just sat on a computer forgotten about, until some techy spotted that a Google streetview car was sniffing around.
Anyway, lots of people got upset about this, and Google has agreed to delete everything. End of the story. All a bit dull really.
