A new travel website has been launched this week. Simonseeks.com is much like any other holiday review site on the surface, however it is unique. The aim is to allow holiday makers to write up their own travel guides, and in return they can receive a share of the advertising revenue created from the likes of hotels.com, lastminute, ebookers and Superbreak.
Many sites adopt a revenue sharing model to encourage readers to also make valuable contributions, however few have been as high profile as Simonseeks.com.
Simon Nixon, the founder of SimonSeeks.com, is also the man behind the popular moneysupermarket.com. he has a proven track record for developing an idea into a leading brand, even when the market is already very competitive.
Simonseeks.com could provide the blueprint for the next wave in “make money from home” websites. The same idea could easily be ported to any niche, from sharing the revenue on nutritional supplements to books and DVDs.

Can you let me know how I submit an article to be considered. It’s about the Gower Coast, South Wales
Hi Gelise,
The first step is to register an account here:
http://www.simonseeks.com/user/register?destination=node
Once registered, your profile will show:
Number of guides: 0
Number of views: 0
Number of reviews: 0
You then click the big button that says “Write a New Guide” and you are off.
Choose a title for the guide, e.g. The Gower Coast, Wales. Then write a brief summary, then fill in the relevant check boxes to categorise your holiday. Provide a price guideline, then write it up. Attach any photos, then submit. I assume that each one of manually reviewed to prevent spamming. Feel free to let us know how you get on, and share your holiday with us!
I have just added a review of a holiday I went on to San Sebastian. The comment after is:
“Once you have submitted your guide our editors will look at it as soon as possible and let you know whether or not we can publish it on the site straightaway, or whether any changes or additions might be needed. We aim to get back to you within two working days.”
So that’s it really. Simple Simon.
OK, update. I submitted two reviews. I cannot see them in my profile. I have attempted to contact SimonSeeks.com using both their feedback form and bugs reporter, but neither are accepting CAPTCHA entries. So there is no way to contact the site, and my work has vanished. Great.
